Silver-plating ring

I have a ring, from which the top layer is peeling off. I don't know what this is from. Copper appears underneath. I don't know if that's just one shift again. I would like the ring to be silver-plated.

The ring has indentations and engravings, which stand out in color, are almost black. I would have liked to keep that. The ring should look a bit aged as it is now. It's new but deliberately made to look older I think.
