The pearl necklace was originally on a thick, threaded a little tighter wire, what lasted forever. A year ago I had it repaired by a jeweler, the wire was apparently too thin and snapped at the clasp. very annoying. The closure consists of a magnetic ball, maybe that's a problem too, originally it was a carabiner. The extension should be shortened by half the links.
