Beschreibung des Auftrags

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

vor ein paar Jahren habe ich meiner jetzigen Frau einen Antrag gemacht – mit einem Schiffchen-Ring aus Weißgold aus der Art-Deco-Zeit, which is incredibly delicate. An etched rock crystal is set in 2 long pointed prongs and 2 short blunt prongs, who in turn presents a diamond. I was already convinced when I bought it, that it is the perfect ring, because I've never seen one like this. Just like my wife, who fell in love with him and has only taken him off ever since, if it was necessary. When you wear a piece of jewelery every day, then of course it can break. And unfortunately that happened: Apparently she got somewhere with the ring and got stuck, so that one of the two long prongs has broken off completely and one of the two short prongs has been damaged. Unfortunately, the broken off claw has not been found. Of course I went to the jeweler with it, who I bought it from. He passed the ring on to his partner goldsmith. After just under 2 Monaten habe ich den Ring wieder erhalten – und war entsetzt: An attempt has been made to recreate the missing prong and it looks very remotely like the real thing. The whole element is really chunky, the breakthroughs have the wrong pattern, the filigree hallmarks are completely missing and everything looks as if it has melted together. Likewise the short claw: too large a piece was soldered, it doesn't look remotely like the other person and stands over it, so that it breaks off again at the next opportunity. Zu allem Übel wurde wohl versucht die “gesunde” lange Krappe etwas besser zu fixieren, against which nothing speaks. Allerdings ist dabei auch hier die filigrane Arbeit “weggeschmolzen” oder wurde weggeschliffen. You can even see a dark spot, which probably comes from soldering? I have complained about these defects, but I don't want to give the ring there a second time.

I am so so disappointed and sad, the ring had to lose its vintage charm and looks worse than with the broken prong. In desperation I turn to you. I created a Onedrive folder, into which I have uploaded high-resolution photos of the ring in its original appearance (all fotos, beginning with DSC_. Außerdem enthält er auch Fotos vom Ring wie ef nach der “Reparatur” nun aussieht (In the photos where the ring is in my hand):

Now my question: Can you restore the ring?, so it looks like before (or. as far as you can tell from the photos)? Or do you not get it better? Or are there specialists for such filigree jewelry, that you can convey to me?

I thank them in advance and look forward to their reply!

Best regards,

Alexander Kretz
