Andrea Remmele-Wiedenmann Gemstone setter, Gold- and silver difference master
I would 1980 born and ended 2001 my journeyman years as a gemstone setter in Ulm.
2003 I graduated from the master school in Munich and received the gold master's title there- and silversmith.
since 2004 I am a gem setter, Gold- and silversmith self-employed.
2006 I modernized my workshop with an individual training course at the Chamber of Crafts Education Center in Münster on the use of compressed air burins (Engrave) and microscope.
Likewise 2006 I took part in a Mokume Gane workshop in Pforzheim and got infected there with the "Mokume Gane Virus".
2007 followed by the Mokume Gane Happening in Lörrach, an association to exchange information about the technique and design of the Mokume Gane from various goldsmiths, who enjoy this rare forging technique.
2008 I took German jewelry on the 20th- and Gemstone Prize Idar-Oberstein. There I won the 1st prize with my Mokume Gane pendant "Spuren"; received a certificate and 4000 euros in prize money.
2009 Another Mokume Gane happening took place in Lörrach.
2010 The company moved to its own studio for gem setters- and goldsmith work in Offingen.
2011 another visit to the Mokume Gane Happening in Lörrach.
2012 Intensive deepening of my barrel knowledge: 7 Weeks of "individual tuning" with Ruhi Okyay.
2013 Participation in the exhibition in Hanau: "Mokume Gane in Motion"
